Frequently Asked Questions
You got questions? We got answers.... most of the time. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get.
Do you issue refunds?
No refunds once you've purchased any of our passes. We do allow you to transfer your pass(es) to another person. Performer's passes are also eligible for transfers.

No refunds for any reason including death, personal injury, sickness, or bereavement. No refunds on addon purchases. By purchasing an event pass through us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
How do I transfer my full pass?
Go to our ticket page. Enter "transfer" for the code. An option to transfer will appear. Pay the $30 fee and enter in your transferee's information. Once completed, we will email/text you to confirm the transfer is complete.
What are your limitations for transfers?
No transfers between other dance festivals. No transfers to a future festival year. Passes are no longer transferable online when online ticket sales are closed.
Can I avoid the transfer fee?
You are able to "edit attendee info" if you log into Eventbrite. It would require you to modify the attendee's name, email, and phone however all of your credit card information is still attached to it (the "ticket buyer" information).

Please be sure you only edit the "attendee info" otherwise if you edit the "ticker buyer" information, you won't be able to go back and make changes to the ticket. In some cases, editing the "attendee info" automatically edits the ticket buyer information.

Transferring your ticket this way does work but the new attendee could possibly have your ticket buyer information. We do not have enough information to confirm this method is 100% the best way. Please proceed carefully if you try this method.

You can have us do the transfer via the $30 fee and we will facilitate the transfer by communicating with the new person on your behalf and ensure that they pay you before any transfer is completed. We'll also replace all of the "ticket buyer" information to match the new person so that the transfer is 100% complete. This is our way to also add a level of oversight in case you're possibly dealing with a scammer. This option is only available up to seven days before the festival commences.
I bought an add-on and a full pass at the same time. Can I transfer just the add-on or vice versa?
If the full pass and add-on were purchased at the same time, the whole transaction must be transferred. The system has no way of splitting the two items apart.

Transfer fees apply to full pass purchases, not add-ons.

If you are trying to transfer an add-on, arrive to registration with your transferee and ask for the add-on wristband to be attached to your person.
You can modify/cancel your hotel reservation with the email confirmation. In case you don't have the email you can search for it via Hyatt's link.
We have a transfer and roommate search group on Facebook you could share you're interested in transferring to someone:
What happens if I miss the online transfer deadline, which is the day before the festival commences?
If online ticket sales are closed it will also mean online transfer requests are closed, but you can still transfer the pass on your own by accessing your Eventbrite account. You can also transfer in-person at the festival but both parties must be present.
Okay, do I really need you guys to do the transfer?
You don't need us to do the transfer for you. You *could* do it on your own. The $30 transfer fee is a convenience cost where we do the transfer for you. Free transfers (done on your own) are free until that ticket user checks in. You just need to log into Eventbrite and edit the "attendee info". We think you can do it, you don't need us!
I'm a performer and I purchased a general pass by accident. Could you cancel my order so I can do it again?
I'm a performer and I purchased a general pass by accident. Could you cancel my order so I can do it again?
When you purchase a pass you pay fees that go directly to Eventbrite. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable so if you purchase a pass by mistake, we are paying out of pocket to cover the fees.

All situations are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us anyway for a solution.
I cut off my wristband or it came off. What do I do?
Wristband Replacement Policy – Hello Dance Fest

Your festival wristband is your entry pass please keep it on and secure at all times! If your wristband is lost, damaged, or cut off, you can get it replaced at the registration desk for the following fees:

1st replacement: $60

2nd and every subsequent replacement: Full price of your original pass

We understand accidents happen, but please do not cut off your wristbands for performances, keep it safe and on your wrist throughout the event!
I bought a night pass but want to upgrade to a day pass, or a day pass to a full pass. Is that possible?
Yes you can! You won't be able to do it online though. Arrive in-person at the festival and politely state to the volunteers at registration you would like to check in or upgrade your current pass. You'll just have to pay the difference (but fees spent to eventbrite do not count towards the difference in cost.)
How does lost and found work at your festival?
We do not hold anything over that was left behind in the ballrooms or turned in at registration. If there's anything left behind you have a limited amount of time to contact the hotel or retrieve the items. Keys and IDs we turn in to hotel registration while all other items we leave behind. Please contact the hotel for your lost items however be advised that the hotel and the festival are not responsible for anything left behind. You basically have until the very minute the festival is scheduled to end to retrieve your items from the ballrooms which is the time that we say that social dancing ends on Monday morning. Ideally, have someone physically locate your item. The hotel staff is tasked with turning the space back to normal to prepare for the next business meetings.

We know how it feels to lose items. Personally, we've lost a really nice pink Hydroflask jug, a REI vest, and Airpods because we didn't realize we lost them at the festival until it was too late in 2025, and we were actually at the hotel for four hours after the festival was officially done!
