10 Hours
The minimum number of volunteer hours required in exchange for a full pass.
3 Days
All volunteers are required to volunteer for all three days during the festival.

1 in 5 dancers who request to volunteer with us are declined due to failed reference checks, schedule incompatibility, or self drop-out before they have a shot to volunteer with us.
We reward loyalty and exemplary behavior with perks for our volunteers.
Newbie
* Passes Reference Checks and/or successfully volunteers at Hello Monthly
* Passed through all behavior checks during the onboarding process (assessed by communication during scheduling process)
Rookie
* Added to the Whatsapp Volunteers Group
* Scheduled through the intake form as normal based on order received
* First time volunteering at Hello Fest (but could have volunteered at Hello Monthly)
Veteran
* Succesfully volunteered for one year at Hello Fest with no red flags from the Volunteers Manager
* Higher Priority during Scheduling afer filling out Intake Form (Number of years of service increases priority)
* Priority increases every year based on uninterrupted and continued service
* Breaks in service will move you down in priority (but still higher than a Rookie)
Volunteers Lead
* Minimum of two years of service required
* Based on observed behavior and hand-selected by Volunteers Manager
* Only five leads are selected per festival year
* Scheduling based on your availability and preference
* Gains some managerial responsibilities such as moving volunteers horizontally in the schedule
* Still coordinates with Volunteers Manager for direction
* Volunteers could be rotated in/out as a lead over the course of years
Diehard
* Minimum of four years of uninterrupted service (no years missed)
* Exemplary behavior observed by Volunteers Manager
* Must have been selected as a Lead for at least one year
* Reduction of Required Volunteer Hours from 10 to 9 Hours
* Includes Higher Priority during Scheduling (after filling out intake form if not scheduled as a lead)
* Ability to schedule more than 1 hour of volunteering on Thursday night
Hotshot
* Minimum of six years of uninterrupted service (no years missed)
* Exemplary behavior observed by Volunteers Manager and festival organizer(s)
* Must have been a Lead for at least one year
* Reduction of required volunteer hours from 9 to 8 hours
* Higher Priority during Scheduling (early intake-form access before opening time if not scheduled as a lead)
* Ability to schedule more than 1 hour of volunteering on Thursday
* Option for scheduling for special assignments instead of just registration or wristband checks
(e.g. competition administration, performance showcase administration)
Assistant to the Volunteers Manager
* Minimum of eight years of uninterrupted service (no years missed)
* Exemplary behavior observed by Volunteers Manager and festival organizer(s)
* Must have volunteered at least twice Hello Monthly with no red flags
* Must have been a Lead for at least two years
* Volunteer hours based on needs (but no more than 8 hours during the whole festival weekend)
* Scheduling based on your availability and selection (includes Thursday)
* Option for scheduling for special assignments instead of just registration or wristband checks
* Only two assistants are selected per festival year
